PARISH NEWSNo Catechism Classes this week for March Break. Classes resume next Sunday, March 21st. ARX Youth Group: There will be no Youth Group for this Sunday night. We will meet again on March 21st after March Break. Formation Session for Ushers/Greeters: on Monday, March 15th at 9:30am OR 7:00pm. Choose one or the other gathering. All Ushers are asked to be present. Also welcome and encouraged to attend is anyone who would be interested in this ministry of hospitality. A reminder: It is best to be involved in only one Ministry at Mass at a time. Saint Dunstan’s University Scholarship: Available to grade 12 students planning on attending UPEI.. The SDU Scholarship is in the amount of 5,000.00 and is renewable for an additional three years. Application deadline is April 15 , 2010. Sacrament of Anointing of
the Sick: Tuesday, March 16 at the morning Mass. This Sacrament
is meant for those who are seriously ill or for seniors.

The Three Days: Would you like to know more about the services of the Easter Triduum: Holy Thursday, Good Friday, and Easter. You are invited to a gathering in the MacKenzie Room, Thursday, March 25 at 7pm. All welcome.Reflection on the Sunday Gospels: each Friday of Lent beginning this week at 9:30am in the Council Room. Canadian Catholic Organization for Development and Peace’s Solidarity Sunday Workshop: will take place from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm, Sunday, March 21 at Mount St. Mary’s Charlottetown. Guest Speaker is Bishop Richard Grecco. Topic, Caritas in Veritate. Pope Benedict’s Encyclical on Integral Development (Charity in Truth). LAMP Lenten Education Session: Following Pope Benedict XVI’s message for the World Day of Peace the theme is “If you want to cultivate peace, protect creation”. Sunday, March 14 at St. Francis of Assisi, Cornwall, 2 - 4pm and Sunday, March 28th, 2:00 – 4:00pm in the MacKenzie Room. This Session will focus on climate change and how as Christians we are called to respond. The resource person will be Adam MacIsaac, a young Islander, who was a member of the Canadian Youth Delegation at the UN Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen. The session will be interactive and include visual presentation and actions to reduce our carbon footprint. All Welcome! Sponsored by Parish Environment Committee.
